It must be a bad week to be working at Microsoft. Here are two recent articles about two separate major failures at the software giant - the first one concerning a bug in Office 2003 Digital Rights Management and the second about a critical Microsoft business website that’s been down for a week, preventing sysadmins from being able to license any new Microsoft servers. Happy Jules

Julius really enjoys the SAD light. So bright and warm, and he gets lots of scritching which makes him purr. He also enjoys playing with my pens and screwdrivers, batting them around while he lies there. Such a happy boy.

Silly Spooky

Posted at 08:07:59 am

The big boy got into a little trouble this morning. He got his head stuck in an old kleenex box, and was walking around bumping into things until I noticed his predicament. He was very appreciative afterwards.

Right now, I’m watching TV news on my Mac, while sitting in front of my SAD light along with Julius. He was lying down on the table, and is now standing up, hogging the whole light. I’m pretty sure he just enjoys the heat it puts out. It got down into the low 20s overnight, and is only 26 outside right now. Brrrrr.

Spoiled Spooky

Spooky is loving it when I work from home. He’s repeatedly climbing up into my arms for just a little more attention. Such a sweet gigantic fuzzball. Just a few minutes ago he was “making biscuits” on my arm with his huge claws. It was both cute and painful. But how to make him stop. I put him down on the floor, and he just runs around and climbs back up into my arms. “But I’m not done purring yet, Pat!”
